Corvairs add 07 born Chayse Scott

Caledonia, ON – September 3, 2025 —The Caledonia Corvairs are proud to announce the signing of Chayse Scott, a 6’2” right-shot defenceman from Peterborough, Ontario, ahead of the 2025–26 GOJHL season.

Scott joins the Corvairs following a season with the Whitby Wildcats U18 AAA program, where he displayed strong defensive awareness, solid positioning, and a reliable presence in his own zone. While still entering his first year of junior hockey, Scott’s size and defensive mindset make him an ideal fit for the team’s blue line.

General Manager Jake MacNeil shared his thoughts on the new addition:

“Chayse brings good size to our backend. Entering his first year of junior, he’ll go through an adjustment phase, but he brings a shutdown presence and a steady, stay-at-home defenceman mentality, which is exactly what we need to protect our crease.”

Scott is known for his ability to read the play, break up opposition chances, and make smart, simple plays under pressure. His steady defensive style and commitment to his own zone will help anchor the Corvairs’ blue line as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Fans can look forward to seeing Chayse contribute on the defensive end this fall as the Corvairs aim to compete at the top of the GOJHL.

Welcome to Caledonia, Chayse!
