June 18 2025 – Caledonia, ON – The Caledonia Corvairs have re-signed Brantford native Ty McHutchion ahead of the 2025-26 season.
McHutchion was acquired just prior to the trade deadline on January 8, 2025, after beginning the year with the KW Siskins. He quickly made an impact in Caledonia, recording 19 points (9G, 10A) in just 16 regular season games and adding 4 more points in 10 playoff appearances. In total, he finished the 24/25 campaign with 38 points in 41 regular season games.
General Manager Jake MacNeil spoke highly of what McHutchion brings to the team, both on and off the ice.
“Ty plays a competitive 200 foot game on the ice. He has an offensive upside which we think will continue to grow this season. Away from the ice, he brings great character to our dressing room and wants to win a championship—something that aligns with our goals for the 2025 campaign. We’re committed to playing for a championship this season, and Ty will be a big piece of that.”
Known for his work ethic, hockey sense, and two-way ability, McHutchion will be counted on as a key contributor in the Corvairs’ push for a Sutherland Cup.
