Caledonia Bolsters Back End with Addition of Cade Dunford

The Caledonia Corvairs are proud to announce the signing of Cade Dunford, a 6’1” defenceman from Peterborough, Ontario, ahead of the 2025–26 GOJHL season.

Dunford joins the Corvairs following a strong campaign with the Peterborough Petes U18 AAA program, where he tallied 21 points in 27 regular season games and added 2 points in 6 playoff appearances. His size, hockey IQ, and ability to contribute at both ends of the ice make him a key addition to the team’s blue line.

General Manager Jake MacNeil expressed high expectations for the incoming defenceman:

“Cade possesses all the tools of a successful defenceman. He plays Corvair hockey with his defensive mindset and grit. He’s a great individual with a terrific team-first attitude and we believe he’s going to be a great surprise on our backend in his first full season of junior hockey. Excited to watch Cade grow as a person and player under our organization.”

Dunford is known not only for his steady defensive presence but also for his ability to move the puck and make smart decisions under pressure. His work ethic and leadership qualities have earned him praise throughout his minor hockey career, and the Corvairs believe he is poised to take the next step in his development.

Fans can look forward to seeing Cade hit the ice this fall as the Corvairs prepare for a highly anticipated 2025-26 season.

Welcome to Caledonia, Cade!
